do most tattoo artists tattoo your own design?

I am contemplating getting a chest to elbow tattoo, however, rather than choosing a preset design i would much prefer to design my own and make it more personal, representing many things, I was just wondering if most places allow that or not?

If you insist on your design, most will do so unless they genuinely think it wouldn’t flow correctly as a tattoo. Some may suggest changing some things and draw it up slightly differently, but that’s why you have to go in to talk with them. So you can tell them what you’re looking for, what parts can’t be changed and so on.
